Want a place to relax and avoid the crowded city life? Try going north and visit a once unpopular place called Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte Philippines. My parents works in the north and stays in San Carlos City Pangasinan. My father, because of his work, was able to see the beauty of Pagudpud. It's several hours away from Manila, but if your up for a long drive, then you should include Pagudpud in your list. Be ready for a tiring travel, but it definitely is worth it for Pagudpud indeed is a paradise away from the city.
The Blue Lagoon is the most known place in Pagudpud Ilocos Norte Philippines. Known among the locals as Malingay Cove, Blue Lagoon used to be a secret getaway. Blue Lagoon is one secret beach that is becoming popular lately. The color of the sand of the Blue Lagoon is off white and grainy like the Boat Station 3 of Boracay. What's amazing about the Blue Lagoon is that it looks like a big blue swimming pool. There are no resorts in the area except for a resort near the place called Kapuluan Vista Resort. If you want to see the sunset in the beach's horizon, you would be disappointed because Blue Lagoon is situated where the sun sets behind its back covered by the mountains.
The price of the food in Blue Lagoon are quite expensive. So if you are on a budget, make sure that you pack some food. There are no ATM Machines in Pagudpud so bring enough cash for your expenses.
I hope I could, if not this summer, be able to visit Pagudpud especially the Blue Lagoon of the North or commonly searched as Pagudpud Ilocos Norte Philippines.
